3 weeks back, the last week of October 2015 I started sending Olivia to the same Nursery that Belle use to go. Our experience with Olivia is so different from Isabelle. We never had to worry about Belle going to school as she can fit in and adapt to new people and new environment quickly. But for Olivia, her first day at school nanny was with her inside her school the whole time. Second day, nanny waited outside the school just to make sure if Olivia cries, she's there to attend to Olivia. First week went quite well as she did not cry and seems like she enjoyed her time in the school.
Unfortunately, second and third was not easy for Olivia. Every morning when I send her to school, before walking into the school premise she would already start saying "I want mommy, I want mommy" and then started crying. She cling on me so tightly, teacher had to carry her from me and bring her into the school. Feels so bad to see her crying so badly while being carried into the school but I know I have to do this otherwise she would never learn to be independent and learn to enjoy mixing around with new friends and teachers. Teacher tells me that the crying only lasted for a while, then she would be having a good time in the school. Is a relieve to know that.
Every child indeed is very different even they are born and brought up in the same family, same environment. Belle is tough and independent and Olivia is the total opposite.

Family portrait by Isabelle
This is what Isabelle has in mind of her family that she loves so much. There are so much details in her drawing. She drew daddy first and the biggest/tallest and each getting smaller especially when she drew Olivia she drew in smallest size. Each of us has a representing symbol : Daddy is a Star, Mommy a Heart shape and both Belle & Olivia is a Flower.
And our house maid is also in the picture as well. This is surely has her own imagination and own style of drawing which I'm very amazed and proud of her.

Successfully wean off pacifier for Olivia
Right after Olivia turn 2 year old in May, I started weaning her off her comfort pacifier. In the past, Isabelle only took 3 days to have her totally wean off. But for Olivia, it took slightly longer, about 2 weeks. After first week of weaning, at nanny place something she will still look and ask for her pacifier. She goes to the trash bin, open up the cover to see if she can find her paci in there. Funny baby does all funny things all the time. For now, Olivia has totally leave behind her paci and has never asked for it anymore. Both Belle & Olivia has done me proud.

Viral Fever Strikes on both Isabelle & Olivia
Last week Monday 18th May Belle started her fever right in the morning. At first I thought it was just a usual fever with a bit of flu and cough so brought her to normal GP to check. Doc says her right tonsil is abit swollen so she prescribed antibiotic for Belle and flu medicine. The fever went on till 3rd day, suddenly her temperature went up to 39.8 degree. I got a shock and got nervous and quickly brought Belle to see Dr Yeu (Pead). Dr Yeu says Belle has a viral infection so actually she didn't need the antibiotic. After 4th day, her fever subside.
Day after on the Saturday 23rd May, Olivia started with fever as well. I thought that is normal since both of them always play together so closely so not a surprise that Olivia would get infected. But Olivia's fever was more serious. Everyday there is at least once her fever goes up above 39 degree. First 3 days I gave her fever syrup and also the Voren tablet insert into her rectrum when her fever gets above 39. Her fever was still like rollercoaster going up and down but not too far down which worries me even more. Unlike Isabelle, her fever temperature does reduce down below 37 once she takes her med but for Olivia it was always 37.9 and above. On the 4th day I brought her to Dr Yeu. Olivia has 2 ulcer spots in her throat. She has no sign of flu or cough so her case wasn't a viral infection. It was Bacteria infection! Poor baby, her temperature shoot up to 40degree when we were at hospital. Nurse gave her a sponge and she was crying from the discomfort of the cold and wet sponge. Doc said if by the 5th day Olivia's temp still spikes up to 39 then she would need to be admitted into hospital. Thank god on the night of the 5th day, her fever slowly stabilize and stayed within 37-38 degree. The next day her temperature was back to normal. And now she's back to her normal self as a happy baby.
These 2 week has been so tiring for me, sleepless nights having to wake up a few times to check on them to make sure body temperature doesn't get too high. Times like that I am glad I don't have a day job otherwise I can't imagine how I can manage all these and would probably have breakdown. Plus, i didn't have a maid around to help when all these happen.

The big sister Isabelle and the baby Olivia
Hello baby Olivia, you are now 22 months old. Just a few weeks back you were still blabbing mostly your own baby words and sentence. Right after Chinese New Year this year 2015, you started speaking more words and longer sentence. Mommy and nanny is so proud of you. These days you always going around saying "I poo poo already", "mommy sit here, sit here","baby do baby do", "baby fall down already", "I want also". You even say "show me show me" when you want me to show you something, and you say "i sit with you" when you want to sit right next to me when I'm having my meal. Baby you are such a sweetie pie and mommy just want to hug you so tight and squeeze you!
Tonight you poo in your diaper and you came over to me telling me "I poo already". Mommy changed your diaper and asked you softly why you didn't tell mommy you want to poo poo but to my surprise your response was "sorry mommy" and you said it in such a gentle and soft tone as if you really felt bad about poo In your diaper. Baby you are so sweet. My heart melted. I love you baby! mucks!
Isabelle, there were times that you are so well behave that when I looked at you, I felt so bad all the times when I scolded and shouted at you. You can be a very sweet and nice little girl but many times you choose to misbehave and be naughty and stubborn. You always like to start crying and whining whenever you can't get what you want without even first think through if it'd right to do so. I always get so frustrated with you and even sometimes when you were good, I can't get myself go give you a big hug or a kiss. You are a very smart and bright girl. You are also a very beautiful girl. All you need I'd to be well behave and knows how to control your temper and frustration. If only you could manage yourself and be good, mommy and daddy will surely love you so much more. Mommy still trying to find a right way and right method to communicate with you and to teach and guide you to be a better child. I know you are. I hope it doesn't have to take too long for you to be an our angel. Love you too Belle. Muacks!

First full english sentence from Olivia on CNY Day 1
Olivia has been very quick in picking up new words but at the same time she still speaks alot of her baby language too. On Day 1 of CNY 2015, the night when I was putting her to bed she wanted to drink water. As I hand the bottle of water to her, suddenly she utter "Thank You Mommy" in full and very clear sentence. I was so surprised my lil gal suddenly speak proper full sentence. Am so proud of her.
Isabelle has been very good as well as she has been going to bed right after I switch off the lights and she does not sneak out from room any more. I am very proud of Isabelle as well. Sometimes when I walk out from her room at night, I felt bad cause she had to sleep in her own room by herself. But we had to train her to be independent otherwise she would also want to sleep in my room. Now my other challenge is to train and wean her off wearing diaper at night. She's turning 5 in September, I need to train her before she goes into year 6.
Both my girls are growing so fast and very soon Isabelle will be going into Primary 1. Though I do have in mind to sign her up into Chinese Primary school but I'm still not sure if that's the best for her and for me. There's so much to worry about, and unfortunately I doubt we can afford to pay and send her to International School. Sigh.

Olivia 20months & Isabelle 4 years old
Olivia is in her 20 months now. After we came back from the Hong Kong trip, she suddenly have grown so much. She can speak more sentences now.
- Why jie jie do me
- Why nanny beat beat
- Mommy eat
- soup soup
-
Olivia bb is quite different from Isabelle. When she sleeps, she likes to sleep face down with her butt sticking up. She loves to climb onto me and sleep on my chest. Olivia speech is much delayed compare to jie jie, olivia speaks more baby talk. She's very very cute with her own character. Olivia is very lovable even nanny loves her so much. Olivia also loves music. Whenever she hears music she would start shaking her hands dancing to the music.
Olivia amazes me where she knows how to drink water from the cup when she's 14 months old and she can even drink soup from the bowl. She loves to drink soup!
Isabelle on the other hand, she's growing smarter and more rebellious. Most of the time she would really drives me up the wall and she is constantly testing my patients and limit. She is a very bright child but because of this she's not an easy child to groom. The older she grows, the more prettier she is. Am so proud to have such a bright and pretty child ;D
