Big swollen blister

Yesterday evening picked up Isabelle from babysitter house. When I reach home and was trying to change her diaper, I notice on her left leg there is a huge red swollen path. It looks scary, the skin on the red patch was dry and it looks like as though she got a burn or something. The skin looks lacy. But it also looks like an insect bite but if it's really an insect bite, this bloody insect is really poisonous. Later the night I notice a blister popping out from that red swollen patch. In the beginning is just a small blister but towards mid-night when I check on her leg again, size of the blister grew bigger. This is so scary. The red swollen area has also spread and became bigger. This morning we quickly bring Isabelle to her pead. Paediatrician says it might be bacteria infection on her skin or it might be insect bite. She gave us an ointment to be applied on Isabelle's leg and also an antibiotic for her to drink so that internally it helps her to fight the bacteria and all.

I have been thinking very hard how Isabelle got her skin infected or even where did the insect come from. Isabelle has just recovered from her fever and throat ulcer a week ago and now she has got this skin problem. She has to go through so many sickness and challenges and she's only 3 months old. :(

Isabelle is sick again

Isabelle is down with fever the night before yesterday. This is her 2nd time fever. This time her fever lasted for 2 days. Thank god finally her fever is off today. But Isabelle was still very cranky and cries every time when we put her down. We had to take turns carry her so that she doesn't feel in pain. She had runny nose and she didn't want to take her milk. We took her to pead this morning and doctor found out that Isabelle has an ulcer at the back of her throat. Feels so sorry for Isabelle. He fell sick partly because of me. My cough and flu virus infected her. I really hope Isabelle will recover very soon. Really hate to see her in pain especially when she cries.

She's Growing Fast

Time flies. Isabelle is now 10 weeks old already. Her condition is getting much better. In fact, I think her gassy problem is gone. Thank god. Even her gassy problem is gone, I do still apply the windy oil on her tummy every time after bathing her. Just incase wind gets into her tummy again!

Last Saturday we put Isabelle at mother-in-laws place. Me and hubby went to Midvalley to check out the Baby Expo. We bought 5 boxes of MamyPoko diaper. Inside the box the diapers are packed in smaller packs. Normal retail price is RM35 but at the expo they were selling it at RM20 only. Good buy huh :) Can't believe I can be so desperate to get into the long queue and asked to buy for 5 boxes. Me and hubby felt quite embarrassed carrying so many boxes walking around the mall haha but yet i feel so proud of myself.

Here's some photo of Isabelle 10 weeks old. Took these photos at Giza mall while waiting for my sis.

I've been taking some videos of Isabelle. 10 or 20 years down the road when I look back and watch these videos, the memory will be so precious.

This is me giving Isabelle a nice warm bath. She loves to take bath.

8th Week Old - Praying to God

Isabelle is in her 8th week old now. Can't believe this is the 4th week I'm taking care Isabelle on my own. Her gassy/wind problem have improved and getting better. She still farts but not as much as it use to be for the past 3 weeks. One problem got better, but another problem arise. Nowadays, Isabelle is drinking lesser and lesser milk. Last week, from 4oz per feeding she drop to 3oz. For this week, from 3oz most of the time she only takes 2oz or sometimes just 1oz +. So many questions popping up in my head. What is wrong with her? Is she going through slow growth? Is the milk not right for her? Should I switch to another milk brand? A soy milk or lactose intolerance milk instead? A friend of mine told me, if baby is lactose intolerance she would be having serious milk vomiting problem. Is baby is not vomiting milk means she's doing fine.

In the beginning, I was worried that she is drinking too much and might become too chubby/fat. Now I am worried why she's not eating enough. Her night feeds is getting more frequent now. Last time during confinement period, Isabelle manage to sleep through for 4 or 5 hours before each feed at night. Now every 3 hours sharp she will wake and cry. What went wrong? I notice if she does not eat enough, she can't sleep well too. Yesterday whole afternoon and morning, she hardly slept more than 1.5 hour in total. I know she wants to sleep but she just can't sleep tight for her sleep to last long enough. When she does not get enough sleep, I'll also be very tired not getting enough time to rest. When this happens, this question pop's up in my mind, "should we buy sarong for her to sleep so that she can sleep better?" I'm in dilemma now. I seriously don't want to be the person who puts her into sarong to sleep. I still feel that it is a big mistake to let baby sleep in sarong. Sigh.

On the other hand, the babysitter side is another headache for me. Looks like I don't have a choice but to put Isabelle to the babysitter that my mom found ("Gigi"). Over there, the babysitter will definitely put Isabelle into sarong for her sleep. I can't run away or say no to her unless I can find another babysitter who does not put baby into sarong. Arghhhhh !!!!! Why can't life be much easier to live? There isn't a single day since the birth of baby that I'm worry free. Will there ever be times at all that I can be worry free? I'm feeling so tired. Emotionally, Mentally and Physically tired! This is when I wish god can help me. God, please make everything smooth going for me, my baby and my husband.

Isabelle 6 weeks old

Isabelle is already at the end of her 6 weeks old. Can't believe that I have survived whole 2 weeks taking care of Isabelle alone during the day time since after her full moon. Things are not getting easier for me as times goes by. Isabelle's colic problem seems to be getting worse. Actually I'm not very sure if it's really a colic problem or is just a normal gas/wind in stomach problem.

I have been doing some readings online in some of the forums and Parenting websites. It seems that besides colic, there is the other thing call Reflux. Reflux seems to be a bigger problem compare to colic I think. Babies who has reflux means there's acid in babies digestion system. The few symptoms I read online about Reflux is similar to what Isabelle is going through right now for eg.

1. Short Sleeps
2. Sudden crying when asleep
3. Arching neck & back during and after feeding
4. Spit up after 1-2hours feeding
5. Irritability & signs of pain
6. Gagging, chocking during feeding

I was already so stress up and worried for her suspecting she has colic but now I'm even getting more worried that all symptoms that Isabelle is going through right now are similar to that Reflux. MORE STRESS...

Another worry to add on to the stress, Isabelle is taking less milk compare to previous. Yesterday there were few feed where she only drank 3oz of milk instead of her normal 4oz intake. This morning it happened again. She only drank 3oz and then she doesn't want the milk anymore. Is there something wrong again? Or is she just going through slow growth? I have read on some postings from other mom's online saying that this could be normal as babies are very well know whether if they are full or not. I'll be bringing Isabelle for her next immunization next Tuesday, I'll bring this up to her Paediatrician and ask her about it.

Dear God, what have I done wrong and that you are giving me such difficult and challenging life. Why can't my baby be as healthy and easier to take care like other babies? Please do not punish me by making my baby more sick than she is now. Please!

Last 2 days, Isabelle's poop are green in color. Her normal stools were mustard/yellow in color but suddenly she has green stools. Weird! I'm not sure if this is something that I need to be worried about (again), but I'm going to bring this up to doc at the next visit.

I also noticed in her stool, there are some small yellow 'seed' like something. Wonder if those are in-digested formula?

Day1 Taking Care Isabelle alone

Today is my first day taking care of Isabelle alone at home day time. Luckily yesterday me and hubby manage to get few hours of sleep cause Isabelle also manage to sleep well. Isabelle has alot of gas/wind in her stomach that is making her very uncomfortable and cranky. Sometimes she can't sleep well because she keep on have to push the gas out and fart. It's emotionally draining for me and baby to see her going through this. She grunts, writhes, shrieks and cries while trying to pass gass. For the past 3 hours I've been trying to put her to sleep but she just can't get settle down and sleep soundly. I wish there is a tool where i can just suck out all the wind in her stomach to relieve her discomfort :(

This is not getting easy for me. Is this what I am going to do every other day for the next 2 months before I send Isabelle to babysitter? I really hope she gets better tomorrow and pray to god hopefully all goes smoothly for me and for Isabelle. God bless us both.

Isabelle's Fullmoon on 23rd October 2010

inally have a few minutes spare time to update Isabelle's fullmoon day.

Time flies. After all the blabbing and complaining about confinement and confinement lady, atlas I'm free now! The morning before we adjourn to the party venue, mother-in-law came and help trim Isabelle's hair. This is her first hair cut :)

Look at how Isabelle look at the aunty.. "What are you all doing to my hair..."? hahaha

Isabelle getting frustrated already :)

We had the full moon party at Giza Mall @ Moe De Cafe. Many friends and family relatives came to join us. It feels so good to be out and have so many friends together for a little chit chat and catchup session. Though today is the day I'm free from confinement, it also means the day to start my next challenge which is to take care of Isabelle on my own. This is going to be tough.

Isabelle's Stroller and Balloon from Isabelle's daddy

Buffet catering food

Family and Friends

A gift from Grandma to Isabelle

Isabelle was very patient and good girl on her fullmoon day. She was awake for 2 hours and she did not "lau gai" at all. She knows that is her big day and I think she likes being out seeing so many different faces and voices.

21 days old

Finally registered and got a birth cert for her. Her chinese name is Chew Shin Ling. She is now 21 days old. I was watching Isabelle this morning while she's still asleep, I notice she has put on a bit of baby fat on her face. I can see she has double chin now :) Confinement lady has been feeding her a lot especially at night. I hope Isabelle won't end up being a fat baby.

Yesterday night, Isabelle poop 4 times in 4 hours. I really pity her cause almost every time when she need to poop, she cries. Not sure if she's crying because it hurts or is just her style. But there are also times when she poop, she's quiet. But pooping 4 times in 4 hours is really too much. I seriously suspect is my breast milk that is causing her to poop so much especially is the ginger juice that I drank everyday. I will try to stop taking ginger juice for a day to see if it makes a difference to her. Finger cross.

13th day - 6th October

My milk supply is getting slightly day by day. Now I will wake up at about 7:30am+ to pump the first batch of milk after a long night sleep and rest. Morning is when I will get the most milk supply. Hopefully one day my milk supply increases and I can just easily pump 2 full bottles of milk at 1 time.

These are my achievements. I need to "jia yu" to get more :)

11th day after delivery - 4th October

Isabelle's umbilical cord finally fell off today :) Yay!!!

My wound is getting better. It doesn't hurt as much as the first week. Now whenever i cough a little, i can still feel the pain a bit. Hopefully by the end of 2nd week i can be back to my normal state and be walking around smoothly with no pain. Today went back for my wound check-up at the Hospital. Dr Yong says the wound is healing quite well and forsee no problem. Phew...

Today we also bring Isabelle to paediatrician to check on her rashes. She has heat rashes under her chin and neck.

2 days back I notice the rashes and asked confinement lady about it. She keep saying that it is just hormone pass on from me to baby and it will go off in no time. After 2 days i see her rashes gets worse so I couldn't help but must take baby to doctor and check on her. True enough doctor says those are heat rash. Nothing to do with hormone. The confinement finally keep quiet when she hear from doctor about the heat rash. Some confinement lady just trying to be smart and thought they know it all. I realise we must be very careful the changes on baby and make sure we do enough research or ask around so that we don't just hear from the confinement lady alone.

After a few days of observation on Isabelle, I notice whenever she wakes, she tend to cry not just because of hunger for milk but also crying to want to poop. I wonder the reason she cry when she wants to poop is because it hurts or is just her habit. Also, she seem to have wind quite often. Certain times after feeding she can't go to sleep easily even after a clean diaper change. She'll just cry and cry. I have to carry her for a while and if lucky she'll just doze off. Isabelle gets hiccups everyday. This is again I assume is because she has wind in her stomach. What can I do avoid wind in her and can make her feel much comfortable?

Sept 29 - 6th day

Today took Isabelle to hospital for 1st check-up. Purpose of check up is for doctor to check and see if baby has jaundice. Thank god baby is healthy and doctor says since there isn't much signs of jaundice appearing now, there shouldn't be any jaundice in the future. Phewww.....

Baby now weight 3.19kg and Length = 51cm.

The other day when chatting with sis, she was saying when changing diaper for a baby boy must always make sure to have his penis covered just in case suddenly without any notice the baby just pee and start shooting urine everywhere. Actually not only for baby boy, in fact for baby girl also we should be cautious. It just happen to my baby girl today. Confinement lady was changing her diaper and while cleaning her, she gave us a sudden shock. She started peeing and her pee was shooting up towards the confinement lady. We did not expect even a girl can pee just a far distance hahahaha.

Early this morning I had my 3rd attempt trying to pump some breast milk. This attempt was slightly better comparing to yesterday. I manage to pump near to 20ml milk from my right and then pump another 15ml milk from my left. Took 1 hour to get such achievement and baby only took less than 5 mins to finish them all. :) Hopefully my next attempt will be much better.

5th day after the delivery

Today is the 3rd day i'm back home with my baby after discharge from Hospital. It is really not as simple as I thought things could be. This new changes in live feels so strange to me. By morning right before i wake up, first thing that come into my mind is my baby. I wake up early just to make sure my baby is doing ok. Life feels so different now. I use to just sleep and wake to just look forward to work and life after work. Now all I need and i can think is just baby and husband.

These 2 days, baby can't seem to go to sleep well during the day time. Everytime after feeding her, when put her into her bed she will start crying after 10-15mins of sleep. Confinement aunty will pick her up and try to confort her and that's when she will stop crying. At times when she cry, I try to carry her but her crying doesn't stop. Could it be because she doesn't feel confortable with me carrying her? Now when I have a baby of my own, i understand why some friends use to tell me, when baby cries non-stop you will have to attend to the baby. There is not way you can just leave the baby to cry and stop on her/his own. Reason being, you feel so bad when baby cries and you'll just be too worried the crying will make her weak or anything.

I have also bee trying to breastfeed my baby. My nipples are getting very sore now. Baby has not been latching correctly in the begining and is not easy to get her to latch correctly. At the same time, i can't stop breast feeding her cause if I stop, I think the milk won't come too. Tried using breastpump to extract the milk but doen'st seem successfull too. Why does everything have to be so difficult? Can't anything just go smooth and let me get through this month easily??

New add on to our family

We finally have a new add on to our family. She's very pretty and cute. Surprisingly she has lots of hair for a new born. She's a very beautiful and healthy baby and as mommy to my baby, i feel very proud myself.

She is born on the 24th Sept 2010
Weight : 3.04kg
Lenght :43cm
Blood Type : B+

Am so proud to be mommy to this beauty baby :)

Tomorrow is D-Day !!

Oh my! I can't believe tomorrow is THE DAY already!. I am feeling very nervous but at the same time excited about tomorrow. Tomorrow will be the day where I will walk into a totally new life of my own and also will be welcoming a new life to the family. I will be admitting into the hospital at about 9am. At approximately 12pm, I will have a 6cm - 10cm cut on my lower abdomen where doctor will be getting my baby out to this world.

I'm trying to imagine how it is like going to be push into the delivery room ; cold, empty room only with doctor and nurses and of cause my beloved husband will also be there. Friends told me the whole procedure will be over in 30 mins time. Will the 30mins be as short at it seems? I'm feeling very curious now to imagine how my baby will look like. Is she going to look like me or my husband? Hmmmm.....Or maybe neither hahaha. As long as she is healthy, i'm sure she's going to look pretty no matter who she looks like... i hope ;)

I seriously do not wish to get into my confinement period. Feels like there will be so much going on and I will be so lazy to really bother about what I should or should not do, should or should not eat etc etc etc. I guess is this just all about the fear of change in life. No matter what comes and what it will be, I will just have to face it positively and try to enjoy it as much as i could. Otherwise i know i will feel very miserable and depress.

Hope all goes well. Welcome my Little One.

10 more days counting down

Is only 10 more days to the day when I will be pushed into the delivery room and have my caesarean. Many friends and relatives asked me THE question ; Natural delivery to c-sec? When I tell them I'm going to c-sec, all of them ask me why not natural? Everyone is telling me that i should try natural first, if really cannot then only opt for c-sec. Kind of stressing me out with comments from everyone.

I will leave it to baby to decide, if she decides to arrive ealier to this world to meet us, then I'll just go for natural birth. But if there's no sign of her wanting to come out yet by the 23rd, then I'll just go ahead with my c-sec arrangement. Hope all goes well. The BIG DAY is arriving sooonnnnn.

Weird Oily Substance

I've got this weird encounter yesterday noon while passing urine. After passing urine, I turn around and looked into the toilet bowl and notice there's oil substance in the toilet bowl. I'm not too sure if the oil came with my urine or did the oil come from the vagina. The oil looks very yellowish and it does look very oily. Ii it as though when you pour a few drops of olive oil into a glass of water, that is exactly what I see in the toilet bowl. After the first encounter, the next few times when I pass urine it was back to normal. No oil substance whatsoever.

Then next morning when I woke up and went toilet to pass urine, all was normal. After taking a hot shower, got all dress-up to go to work, while waiting for my hubby to get ready I went downstairs toilet and poop a little. Then when i try to clean myself up, I realise again there is very yellowish colour on the toilet paper. Again when I look into the toilet bowl, there's oil. This time the oil is slightly more orange in colour. I'm really not sure what is happening. It can't be anything that I eat or drink cause is just the normal food I have been taking all there while. Even the medicine is also the same Calcium, Obimin and NeuroGain that I have been taking since the start of my pregnancy. Maybe the next time when it happens again I shall take a picture of it.

After doing some research on the internet, I suspect the oil is not coming from the urine. Its vaginal discharge and could be some sort of vaginal bacteria infection. Oh great, why am I having vaginal infection at my 35 weeks pregnancy. I'm not sure if I should need to inform my gynea about this or should i not.

Anxiously waiting

Another 2 more days I'm going into 35 weeks pregnancy. Though is only 4 more weeks to my labour day, the difficult sleepless make it feel like I can't wait to be in labour. Exactly weeks from now I will be in the labour room giving birth. I wonder if the little one will want to come meet us earlier than the date that we have set. I've been reading around on the internet and it says anytime from 35 weeks onwards, contraction might start and there is possibility that might go into labour before week 38. Let's hope hubby will be around when contraction happens or when i'm in labour pain. Can't imagine if I would need to drive or maybe walk myself to the hospital if in the event baby decides to come out earlier than expected.

New shoes from daddy to baby

Daddy choose and bought 4 pairs of shoes for baby.... how sweet :)

33 weeks - The countdown starts

Is only 6 more weeks to count down to my labour day. We have finally decided we'll go for caesarean on the 24th September. Seriously hope this date will bring all good things to us and also to the baby especially.

Though I'm still a bit worried and concern about having to get a 10cm cut below my abdomen besides the fear of the after pain and also the scare and everything else, if this will bring all the good things happening to the family, I guess is worth the sacrifice. After all, women are the ones who are always sacrificing the most compare to man.

Just another 6 more weeks to go. Everyday I'm just waiting for time to past. Life can be quite boring at this stage with all the waiting and waiting. There's not much work to do in the office. I'm blessed for that but there's also nothing much to do to kill the hours day by day. Facebook, Internet, TV, what else? There will be no more personal time after baby is out so I sure hope for the next 6 weeks, I will spend my hours and day as meaningful and as interesting as possible.

Doctor check-up at 31 weeks

Today went see doctor for routine check up. I'm not weighting 64.2kg and baby's weight is 1.627kg. Baby gain 0.6kg and I gain 0.8kg from past 1 month.

In exactly 8 weeks time I am going into labour. Will be going for caesarean as we would like to have our baby to be born on the September 24th 2010 @ 12pm noon. Let's hope that my doctor is very good with caesarean and he will do a very clean and nice job so that my wound will heal sooner than it's suppose to.

I've asked and doctor says, if I am breastfeeding the first 7 days after I deliver, I shouldn't be taking any ginger or alcohol cause afraid that baby's lung will not be strong enough yet to be absorbing these. So ya, not ginger or ginger wine for me for the first 7 days.

31 weeks pregnant already

Wow, time really flies. Suddenly I'm not at my 31 weeks pregnancy already. Is just another 2 more months to go and the little one will be arriving. Thought 2 months seems short, but sometimes it feels long too. Now my tummy is getting bigger and heavier, sometimes is do wish I can just go into labour now and get it over with.

Yesterday night, I had a sudden emotion breakdown. Nothing happen prior but the moment just happened. I felt so depressed suddenly and I started tear a little. I couldn't find any reason why that happen to me but it just had to happen.

She has been very active day and night. Nowadays I feels quite dreadful and have to drag myself to bed at night. Going to bed is not easy any more. Wish I can be sleeping like a pig again.

Sleepless nights

Hasn't been able to sleep well at night nowadays. Baby is very active not only during the day time but also the night time. I go to bed like about 12am at night. While i'm trying to get into sleep, she's doing her boxing/kicking/dancing/karate inside my womb. Can't fall asleep with all those movements inside me. Many times, it takes at least about 1 - 1.5 hours on the bed switching position, turning to the left, to the right, trying all sorts of position so that she will be comfortable and stop moving and hopefully she will get to sleep :(

The only best time that I can really get good sleep is towards the morning hours from 5am onwards and I'm always very reluctant to wake up to get to work cause the morning hours is the best time to sleep with no disturbance.. Zzzzzz.

Can't imagine after baby is born, i have to wake up every 2-3 hours to feed her. Am sure my temper is going to be very bad and moody most of the time. Oh no!!

Buy buy and buy

We've been spending so much in buying all baby items for the past few month. Nowadays when we go shopping, we do not walk into any other departments other than the baby/children department. I use to have a hobby shopping for the house, walking into stores like Living Quarters, Home furnishing and etc. But now the focus is nothing else but just things for baby.

I've bought a few clothing for her. Everyone keep telling me that we shoudln't need to buy so many cause friends or relatives will be giving us fullmoon gifts. But what is baby going to wear before her fullmoon? Can't just wrap her with the diaper cloth right.

Bodysuits

A friend sent us a link which leads us to site that is selling 3-in-1 stroller very cheap. We didn't really buy the one that we saw online cause Leslie thinks the stroller is too bulky and heavy. Instead, we bought this other unit which is also a 3-in-1 stroller with a better system. Although I didn't really like the blue color but since is a good buy, why not.

3-in-1 stroller (RM 600)

We went to MyDear warehouse Sale in end June 2010. The things they sell are really cheap. MyDear is a local brand. Those who are on budget and don't mind the quality, MyDear is a good brand to go for. They are not that bad actually. The designs are also quite nice.

We bought this Car Seat for only RM300.

I've been survying and looking at many other Sterilizer products in the market especially the Avent brand. This one was selling at the price of RM259.90 at Babyland SS2 and its really a good deal. Comes with 2x 9oz milk bottle. Original prize was RM300++. I guess this is the old stock and they really want to clear them off that's why is selling at this cheap price.

She knows when I'm upset and unhappy

Every night about pass 12am her activity will slow down as though she knows is about time to sleep. She might still have very slight movement but I know and I can feel that she's slowly getting into the sleep mode. Surprisingly, yesterday night she was not in her normal routine. Last night I was very upset and angry with him for being home so late. I couldn't sleep even after pass 1am. And there she is, very active while i'm still awake. She was actively moving, doing her kicks and boxing. It was as though she can feel that I was in a very sad and upset mood and she's reacting to that. Could it be that my heart rate was beating faster than normal or maybe the hormone changes with the mood swings and she's reacting to these changes. Or could it be that she knows that I'm upset, she wants to let me know that she's there with me and that I'm not alone. It feels weird but at the same time I really feel blessed.

Some friends were saying, when the mother is happy and laughing the baby will also be happy. But when the mother is sad, the baby will also be sad. I guess to certain extend this is quite true. So I better find ways to make sure I'm happy every other day so I won't have a grumpy baby next time :)

I read some pregnancy articles online and they say this commonly happen during week 30+ pregnancy. But hey now I'm already experiencing the swelling and numbness, how? Is this a bad sign?

I can't walk properly now because some of my toes hurts when I walk. My toes especially on my right leg has become stiff. Scary.

Bought My First baby suit

Last week doctor did a scan and told us our baby is a girl. I couldn't help with the excitement and started shopping around looking at baby clothes. No damage done cause fortunately I could control myself and ended up only bought the basics 1 body suit and 2 set top + bottom. Told myself I shall just start with the most basics and cheapest ones first and slowly will buy more very soon :)

A friend of ours recommended us to buy and use a product from Cosway call BabyPlus. It's a device that plays rhythmic sound which is very good for baby to listen starting from 18weeks pregnancy. The tracks that you play from this device is not music at all. Is more like the sound of heartbeat According to him, his wife used it during her pregnancy and comparing his baby girl to other babies the same age, his baby tends to perform more mature with surroundings and have greater learning mind. Some says, baby who listens to this sounds they tend to be easier to be taken care. Less crying especially. This product cost us RM495. Not cheap at all. But if it benefits so much for the baby and also for us I guess is all worth it. Anyhow I can still use it next round :)

4th Doc visit

Tomorrow will be my 4th visit at TMC. Finally the day has come after a very long 4 weeks. Again, i'm very nervous but yet can't wait to see my doc and let him do the ultrasound scan. Can't wait to find out to make sure my baby is all doing well and growing healthy.

I've been looking in the mirror every time before walk in for shower. I'm trying to see if the shape of my tummy is growing normal because of the baby of is it still my tummy fats only. Really can't tell. When I'm out shopping, I will always be looking at other pregnant women tummy, observing the shape of their tummy and trying to guess how many months they are pregnant. Sometimes even have the urge to walk up to them and ask.

I just hope that I'm healthy and baby is also growing healthy in my body.

2nd Checkup at TMC

I went for 2nd checkup at TMC on the 28th Feb 2010. It was my 8th week pregnancy. I was so nervous sitting infront of Dr Yong's clinic and waited for more than an hour before my turn. I was so worried. Worried what if when doctor do a ultrascan scan, the same incident would happen where we can't see anything inside the sac. But Thank GOD, both me and my husband was so relief when we saw a white shape on the screen. Baby is about 20mm. Doctor even let us listen to the baby's heartbeat. About 160. Both me and hubby felt so happy and excited. Am so gratefull and happy that everything came up well. My next check up will be on week 11. Doctor says this is when he will have to do a more detail scan to scan for possible down syndrom effect.

Cost : Doc consultation - rm60, Ultrasound Scan - rm50, Admin charge - rm3

Second Conceive

I'm 6 weeks preggie now. After my last MC experience, I am very nervous with this pregnancy. Just worried if it would end up like the last round. I have visited Dr Yong Jee Kien at Tropicana Medical Centre today. Me and my husband wanted to give a visit and see if the charges at TMC would be much more expensive compare to other Hospitals. First impression of Dr Yong he's not as old as I imagine he would be. Late 40s maybe. Sounded friendly but this visit we didn't ask too many questions. Wanted to leave it to doc to say most of the things and observe.

Dr did a ultrasound scan for me. Showed me where the sac is and was trying to locate the embryo but it wasn't very clear. We could only see a very light faded white spot that's all. Dr says is still too early to be able to see much so we'll have to wait till the next visit to scan again.

True enough the charges in TMC is very expensive. Doc gave me DUPHASTON (RM105) on top of the folic acid pills that i've been taking all these while. Doc consultation and ultrasound scan are separate charge. The bill came up to RM278. Very different from Dr Liew in Assunta Hospital. It seems to be more reasonable charges in Assunta compare to TMC. I'm now considering if I should go back Dr Liew in Assunta or continue with Dr Yong in TMC.
